Lockdown 3 An update for Lettings

Published: 08/01/2021

Similar to the lockdown in November 2020, most things are allowed for the work of landlords (subject to the COVID-19 precautions).

Tradespeople
Tradespeople may continue to work in the
homes of individuals implementing the usual measures.

Viewings
Estate and letting agents and companies for removals can continue to operate. You can go to property viewings if you are looking to move.
Where possible viewings should be carried out virtually or by appointment only with no open house viewings to take place.
All attendees should wear a face mask, wash their hands and avoid touching surfaces.
At the end of the viewing, surfaces such as door handles should be cleaned.

Moving home
You can still move home. People outside your household or support bubble should not help with moving house unless absolutely necessary.

Possession
The current eviction suspension is set to expire on 11 January 2021 however this may be extended.
